Stuck mid-edit? The answers live in the app — Help → MemoryString Help… (⌘/ or the ? toolbar button). Help → Full Documentation Online opens this GitBook in a browser. This site is the same topics, public and searchable.
Search the sidebar field to filter by title or body.
Topics: About MemoryString, Quick Start, Library, Preview, Timeline, Music, Effects, Multi-Photo Groups, Intro & Captions, Export, MCP Server, Keyboard Shortcuts.
Help → Show Walkthrough replays the first-run tour — seven stops, same as day one:
- Bring in moments — Click + or drag in photos, videos, and music. Royalty-free tracks live here too.
- Your Library — Every photo and clip gathers here. Drag to reorder, or right-click for more.
- Shape the story — Scrub and fine-tune how the moments unfold. Right-click a slide for transitions, duration, and more.
- Watch it come alive — Your memory plays here — press play or Spacebar whenever you want a look.
- Make it yours — Looks, Energy (pace), Photo Size, and Captions live here, with per-clip controls.
- Share your memory — When you’re done, open Export and pick a format — including social.
- Essential or Studio — Stay simple in Essential, or open Studio when you want deeper controls.
Help → Report a Problem… emails a sanitized crash package (stacks, Mac specs, breadcrumbs; no media filenames). Useful when something breaks — and polite about what it sends.
MemoryString → About MemoryString is the About panel (creator, website, version). The same credit is in the window footer. Public how-to and export clips: Welcome.
