Integration thought Antidote Web ?

Hi Yiranlus,
First thank you for your work on this plugin. I was very happy to find that this morning.
Just a quick question, your plugin work with the destock version of Antidote 12, right ? Because I'm using Linux as OS and since a moment Druide have chosen to use a link only with Antidote Web service (no destock version of Antidote 12 is available for Linux).
It works very well for Thunderbird as an example through the Antidote connector extension.
Do you have already think to develop this feature ?

I have thought about if this plugin will work with Antidote Web service. But since I have already Antodite 12, I don't have an interest in subscribing to an additional Antidote Web service.

Though it is reasonable to consider if the plugin will work only with Antidote Web Service since Druide no longer provide one-time purchase of Antidote. I can take a look into the code and try implement it, but I won't be able to test it as long as I don't want to spend extra money to upgrade my Antidote service.

I also welcome any contribution to this feature.

Hi @yiranlus, thank you very much for your answer.

To be honest, I would prefer to go through a lifetime licence of Antidote, but like I say before the destock software is only available for Windows and Mac OSs (this is why I need to use Antidote Web license).

From my side, I'm not a expert in java application development. If it's possible to you and not too expensive in time to develop the "missing part" for antidote web connection, it could be fantastic.

For testing I could help you if you want but you also could ask and trial period of one month with a mail account or any Microsoft, Facebook or Google account (one mouth per acount).

By the way, I don't know if you have already submitted your plugging to the onlyoffice community, but I think it could be very useful for all (take a look here https://community.onlyoffice.com/t/make-an-integration-of-antidote-spell-checket/17644)

Hi @MathieuDepetris,

I understand your frustration. I submitted the request for adding the plugin to the OnlyOffice Marketplace. I am waiting for their response.

In the meantime, I am waiting for a response from Druide to see if they have extra documentation on how Antidote Web works, since their previous documentation doesn't clearly explain how those functions work.

I will keep this issue open and provide updates.

I received the response from Druide. According to them, currently, the WebSocket API (which TextCure uses) is the only viable option for OnlyOffice. Another option, postMessage, is not possible, since it works only between tabs in the browser. These are the only two options that are listed in their public documentation.

My current thoughts are building some proxies between them:

OnlyOffice <-> local WebSocket proxy <-> browser tab proxy <-> Antidote Web

But this escalates the complexity and is quite annoying. And surely these codes won't be present in this repo.
