Mac app gives warning and does not launch

After copying the app to applications and trying to run it, it appears to do nothing for a while and eventualy pops up with a Warning...

Could not start server

Run setup first:
cd ~/Projects/Mosslanding/mac && bash setup.sh

then relaunch the app. the backend needs Python + dependencies installed in venv/ .
