Turn off Mainsail and Fluidd

Is there a way to turn off mainsail and fluidd so I can move it to a different device?

you can put Mainsail and Fluidd on another device even without "turning them off" on your FF. They will just have different IP address. But, to stop them from running and taking up resources on your FF permanently, you can follow the info in this thread

Does this accomplish anything? From that thread it appears a user still gets resource errors even with Mainsail/Fluidd disabled

Still having problems and mainsail is running (as well as fluidd).

I have renamed Fluidd and mainsail S to K. In the init.d directory. Mainsail and fluidd was still running on port 4000 and 4001. I moved the files completely to a new base for and it is still running. Am I doing something wrong here? I rebooted as well.

I have an ubtunu VM running on a laptop via a Proxmox virtualization server (had lots of old laptops) and did see the point of buying a raspberry Pi). I had an Ender 3v2 converted to Klipper prior to purchasing a AD5M as my second printer. So I am running Fluid and camera controls from the Ubuntu VM.

As for disabling mainsail and fluidd on the AD5M. I tried the rename of S70 files as mentioned on the linked post. But did absolutely nothing.

After reading the file.contents by cat S70mainsail and cat S70fluidd I see the source folder for the running process is in /opt folder. I renamed the folder for mainsail and fluidd, the rebooted and even physical power cycled the printer but still both pages load up.

I've now delete the mainsail and fluid folders in /opt and even delete the S70 files in /etc/init.d. Mainsail doesn't load anymore but Fluid somehow does. Using what I now about Linux command, I cannot even see a process using "ps" command for fluidd only klipper, Moonraker and klipperscreen.

I notice ram is still at 82% but the system load went from 1.5 to 1.02 when printer is idle. I have a feeling the ram will be drawn up by klipper but system seems less loaded. I will have to test more

I hope this helps someone or perhaps we can locate the fluidd http server source.
