After resuming Windows from either Sleep or Hibernation,
the Time Adjustments feature stops working completely.
The application itself continues running normally, manual brightness control still works,
and the monitor remains detected correctly. However, scheduled brightness adjustments are
never applied after the system resumes.
Restarting Twinkle Tray immediately restores normal operation until the next
Sleep/Hibernation cycle.
This appears to affect only the Time Adjustments scheduler.
This issue is not new. I have experienced the same behaviour across multiple Twinkle Tray versions, including the current v1.18.0-beta1.
Steps to reproduce
- Create one or more Time Adjustments.
- Verify that scheduled brightness changes are working.
- Put Windows into Sleep or Hibernation.
- Resume the system.
- Wait until the next scheduled adjustment should occur.
Expected behaviour
Time Adjustments should continue working normally after Windows resumes from
Sleep or Hibernation.
Actual behaviour
No scheduled brightness adjustments are applied after resume.
The only workaround is to completely restart Twinkle Tray.
Environment
- Twinkle Tray: v1.18.0-beta1 (the issue has been present across multiple previous versions as well)
- Operating System: Windows 10, fully updated with the latest available updates
- Monitor: ASUS PA328CGV (DDC/CI)
- Connection: DisplayPort
Additional information
- Manual brightness adjustment continues to work.
- The monitor remains detected correctly.
- Only automatic Time Adjustments stop functioning.
- The issue is consistently reproducible after every Sleep/Hibernation cycle on my system.
- Diagnostic report attached.
