Is the code for the shiny app available?

This is great work, and I do not know how I missed it.
There have been more sequences recently and more work related to gene age and adaptation.

Is the source code for the shiny app available in case someone wants to contribute or make something similar?

Thanks for your kind words and for reaching out!

Yes, the Shiny app code is in the inst/shiny-app directory.

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions, and contribute or fork as you wish. I have a to-do list somewhere with the 3 different packages I thought this code should be spread across, 1 for pulling and processing data from 1001genomes.org, 1 for the alignment plots, and 1 for the shiny app itself. For the moment my group has been more focused on interspecific comparative evolution. We may return to this in some future work, but would be very happy for you to build upon/revise this work.
