No bar displays in editor

Hi. I installed the zoom-bar because in this training video I am doing, the lecturer is using it with Visual Studio Code. No bar appears so I ended up uninstalling after spending som etime trying to figure it out (yes, I read the docs). Any way, CTRL + and CTRL - work well to zoom and un zoom so I'm not sure of the benefit of this extension

There are several possible causes.
This time, the most likely cause I expect is that there isn't enough space in the status bar.
If the VS Code window isn't large enough, or if you have a lot of status bar items, VS Code will omit displaying some status bar items.
In this case, you need to do the following:

• Increase the VS Code window size.
• Decrease the zoom level.
• Right-click on the status bar to show the menu and hide other status bar items.
