Neither Download nor Import of Language works

Since 3.3 I could not download a language; until then I used SherpaTTS -your app - without any issue.
Now with 3.4 it still does not work: Download a model stops at 8% , with WIFI as on Mobile; import from SD Card leads to an unresponsive white display .
Moto G 75, Stock Android 16, latest security patch July 2026

second: after filling in "deu" / de_DE-pavoque-low"/ I can choose onns-file and text; Question: does the app need any kind of Write-Permission??

regarding that there has been no change in the app. The files are quite large, so you need a stable network connection.

Hi- but that does not work! I HAVE the files, but the import fails or does not even start: because the app seems to freeze (white screen without any response)- that's why I asked if the app needs any additional permissions. Sorry, but as you wrote in changelog "download issues solved", I tried again several times; and never before those malfunctions appeared although SherpaTTS ran for years on Moto in my HOME- Wifi. Hi-me again. I tried your adb-way; worked to copy the named files - no language was installed. I tried different TTS (single voice-apk and engines like ESpeak, RHVoices and a Russian one (forgot the name), they run. No problem to download huge packages. I now install the old "next kaldi gen TTS engine". It has 9 voices, they all sounds and pronounces text quiet ugly, but - it works out of the box. I have no idea why your Sherpa quits its serve (for me?); also I have no idea what could log the bug better.. Maybe you'll find it - I'll be glad! Thanks for reading, all the best! leo Am 22.
