Is there any way to bring back old tabs from 2012 era?

I just hate modern design, it is awful and ergonomically bad not only in terms of tabs shape but also in tabs height.
It seems that the installer checkbox is not working or i am missing something.
Please advice!

I had to make major adjustments to the UI code due to upstream changes, which could not be finished in time for 132 R0/R1 due to various constraints, and unfortunately I neglected the checkbox in the installer, which should have been dropped because a newer theme system is replacing the 126-era version. Unfortunately it does not scale very well in 132 R1, but it should scale properly in R2.

Currently in R4 v60 is there, but broken.
Tab height is incorrect, attempting to circumvent it via scs using int_layout_constant_28{30} results in the favicon being cut off, a random gap between the omnibox and the tab itself alongside the ntp button looking like it's centered rather then how it looked like before.

However it's still broken looking and barely resembles trapezoid tabs at all.

The developer hasn't bothered to fix this since 132.0.6834.191 R0/February of this year. I suspect he silently decided to drop support for it and only shoe horned it in so people would complain less. I'm happy to be wrong, but it's been nearly a year with very little to no progress on getting trapezoid tabs to look like they did in v126 at the very least.
If you're really interested in trapezoid tabs use v126 or try out r3dfox alternatively.

I do wonder myself why don't the classic batch files load the browser in v60 mode/design anymore like they did in v126.

around Dec 11 #compact-tab-ui did make supermium look closer to 126, but still pretty broken in v60 mode, now #compact-tab-ui doesn't work at all

I think it's jover for v60 it's been more then 1 year with no proper fix/implementation like it was last seen in 126 releases
