File name change loop

Every time the images are processed a new thumbnail is created with wsi-imageoptim- added to the file name.

After running it twice I now have:
uploads/05/image.jpg
uploads/06/wsi-imageoptim-image.jpg
uploads/06/wsi-imageoptim-wsi-imageoptim-image.jpg

I thought this plugin would save space on my server, but it is only adding to it. I would expect it to work by deleting the current thumbnails and then creating the optimzed thumbnails in the same directory with the same name.

The expected function of the retroactive generator is to only generate images that haven't been processed before. This shouldn't happen and sounds like a bug.

• Are you using either the latest version of WordPress, or the latest development version? If not, please update first.
• What steps should be taken to consistently reproduce the problem?
• Does the problem occur even when you deactivate all plugins and use the default theme?
• In case it's relevant to the ticket, what is the expected output or result? What did you see instead?
• Please provide any additional information that you think we'd find useful. (OS and browser for UI defects, server environment for crashes, etc.)

• unzip last plugin version into "wp-content/plugins"
• i have already images uploaded into year/month -based folders

and when i start plugin script to check/optimize my images - all optimized images appeared in current (year/month) folder, but not their own

Example:
script optimize images in folder 2015/09, 2015/10, 2015/11, etc ... but all result files located in folder 2017/01 and with name like "wsi-imageoptim-{original-file_name}"

Second problem - if user(author) manually set image path in article - this image will not be affected by optimization but we will have on a disc additional unnecessary optimized image

I'm seeing this bug still, even on a fresh install of Wordpress with just 3 images uploaded, one of them was optimized twice:
