Controller friendly input support #218

Description

@tekeous

Problem Statement

When using Sidra in SteamOS Big Picture mode on Steam Deck as a fullscreen media application, the Steam Deck's controller layout doesn't make it easy or convenient to control Sidra.

This is not the same as supporting media controls, as when opening the app on Steam Deck I am trying to select and play music, not play/pause or skip tracks.

Proposed Solution

Sidra could benefit from basic controller input support - e.g. D-pad arrow keys function like normal arrow keys, A button selects, B button goes back, etc. This would enable Sidra to be used with any standard XInput controller or any other controller that supports Steam Input, enabling better accessibility.

Alternatives Considered

Currently I can use Sidra with Steam Input when using a Web Browser control layout, which enables mouse function on the Steam Deck's touchpad as well as using triggers as mouse buttons. Additionally the Steam Deck's touchscreen functions while using Sidra, although touchpoints are small.

Use Case

The ability to use Sidra with a control pad would enable the application to be used from a couch or on handheld devices, improving accessibility for handheld devices, fullscreen applications, accessibility input devices, and kiosk devices.
