It is a bit difficult because normally C/CS mount lens are designed for smaller 1/1.2" or 1/1.8" and smaller sensors, such that the spec might not apply to the edges of the 1" sensor. Typically you can check the FOV table and see if it calculates based on which sensor size, for Mpix number that is mostly for the angular resolution mapping to that sensor size, so even if the lens can cover to 1", the resolution might not match what the sensor can do. I actually recommend you to adapt the C/CS mount to the camera lens you prefer, like passive E mount or EF mount with pinefeat's EF adaptor that can do autofocus even https://github.com/pinefeat/cef168. |

Hi,
I'm new to this project. I've always wanted to build a simple point and shoot camera that I can modify with custom profiles etc. I got my hands on a pretty cheap v1.4 OneInchEye, that's my starting point. I also have the other hardware. But still I'm quite confused about the Lens selection. I want something that is very flat without loosing to much quality. I'm very lost in the world of C and CS mount lenses. All I can see are lenses with MP values and I'm always unsure if the lens can cover the sensor or not. Any help is appreciated, maybe someone has some good tips for me. Thanks!
