Any reason the Alexa LF response isn't in the dataset? Does Weta want to keep it for themselves maybe? :)

No seriously, it would be totally awesome if there was cameras added to the data set all the time, especially Alexas and Reds, etc.

Excellent question! Disclaimer: I'm not representing the company in that instance but just speaking for myself. Releasing such data publicly could stain relationships you established with the camera vendors, which could be a strategically bad move for future collaboration.

Yeah what a beautiful world it would be if vendors did that :)
But until they do, we'll have to evaluate if we should build or own measurement tools then.
In that regards it would be great if there was a open spec/BOM for Wetas "lightsaber". I know that this is advanced stuff but some of us can handle it :)

ps. I read your great blog post about ColorCheckers today. Hopefully people (youtubers) pick up on it and stops teaching the wrong things.

Late to the party here, but a public BOM for the measuring device might be helpful in expanding the dataset...
