• simple and elegant (as it is just for viewing, every fest organisation will create its own afterwards)

That's good. More enhancement can be done in future PRs. It can be useful to many users if a feature is developed gradually in multiple PRs.

Make sure the design is responsive and only required css should be there.

ok i was thinking of adding some images to improve the ui and make it responsive as well .

You can do that as well, and it will be better if you could see the login and signup page. You will get an idea of the theme and minimalist design which looks good.
