Random Frequent Crashing

Hey, I've had VRS spinning on a win 10 machine for about a year now, and recently it's started randomly crashing, I made no obvious changes recently, so I'm a bit stumped as to why it's just started doing this. So to test out of my production environment I spun up a win 7 hypervisor and redirected all my ports to that instance to rule out any OS/Driver/software issues, but to no avail it's still crashing out.

I used WER to generate a crash dump and have this ready to upload somewhere once requested.

I use Virtual Radar Server 3 x64 beta with all the beta plugins and custom content.

Please let me know where I can place this WER crash dump

@vradarserver still have this crashing issue, even on a fresh new installation of v3 preview 11, The only thing I can remember changing is adding a new receiver (a feed from an online flight tracker service) which compared to other receivers (of the same nature) receives far, far more messages. I've temporary disabled said new receiver to see if this crash reoccurs.

Again, a WER crash log was generated.

Would it be possible to test a more stable version of VRS, as you are currently using only the beta preview version? Could you please share your results using the stable version instead of the preview? Owner of Freedar.uk

It's version 3 preview 11 x64, That is my next plan but right now I'm leaving VRS running for a while without the receiver I previously mentioned being enabled, I had this beta release running for a long time with just my own receivers connected with no crashing and the only thing I did to the installation was adding a feed from an online source.

Thank you for your reply; I appreciate your help. It sounds like you may be experiencing memory issues. Could you please check your Windows memory status when you start the feed and let me know the results? Thanks Freedar Owner.

Hey, I'm not convinced it is memory related because on the dedicated box (which the issue first arose on) it has 32gb of ram, the hypervisor I spun up for testing my install on has 16gb and on both machines the memory utilization is hardly even being touched.

With the 3rd party feed (That I mentioned earlier on) disabled, VRS has been running for well over 24 hours and has not yet crashed, however before I disabled said feed the crash was a daily occurrence, I will leave VRS running with this feed disabled for as long as possible to rule out any flukes.

It's now coming up to 48 hours with no crash, so it's looking more and more like the feed from Freedar has been crashing or accelerating the crashing of my VRS setup.

Again I will leave it running and check in here again soon
