Status update rate

The statuses update very infrequently, therefor my Home Assistant cards say "Unknown" for a long time, e.g. RMOT, bypass open factor, ... Is there a way to force an update or are we dependent on what the unit sends us?

Yes there's a way which is actually already being used for some sensors but it's a fine balance: sending too many requests results in them getting lost because the comfoair is very talkative, and it's also important to not interfer with the command which actually matter such as changing the fan speed.

So you should already get values at a faster rate than actually sent by the comfoair but this is not homogeneous.

As an example: number of days before filter change is sent only once a day by the device and I force it to few times a day instead because it has happened that the value was missed.

If you are curious you can hook up a CAN to USB device to have a look at the can frames being sent and you will see there's a lot of "noise" which is due to values needed for mvhr to function properly.

Ok, thanks for clarifying! The current situation is fine, it will just take a while to update all variables after a restart.

Do you happen to know if the official product also has this limitation? So if you use the Zehnder ComfoConnect LAN C with the app?
