Why compile-time contracts?

  • dbt contracts validate at build/engine/CI time; FlowForge validates at Scala compile time.

  • Dagster asset checks validate at runtime/CI; FlowForge refuses to build illegal pipelines.

  • Result: drift is caught before packaging or deploy.
