can we have it so it can automatically run just like fig, inshellisense, and ghost-complete do?

also tabbing after cd doesn't update the suggestions the same way inshellisense does

inshellisense asks you to add the following to you .zshrc:

This makes it so it automatically runs every time you open your shell. iris doesn't automatically run for me and the only setup step mentioned on the readme is adding an alias for it (https://github.com/versenilvis/IRIS#shell-setup).

Not sure if this is what auto-execute should do but I'm guessing not since it doesn't for me.

As for the other issue I mentioned, when iris is running and I try to cd, it correctly lists directories. I then use the arrows to navigate to my desired option and press tab to accept the suggested dir.

The dir path is correctly appended but the suggestions don't refresh to show an updated list of the children dirs to the one I just accepted.

This works as expected on inshellisense. Every time I press tab to accept a suggestion, the list is updated with new child dirs so I can compose my cd path to go where I want in just one call.

Hope this makes it clearer. Happy to try again if not.

You need eval "$(iris init zsh)" in zshrc for starting iris on shell init. Also, I agree with the cd part.

also I think I will add eval "$(iris init zsh)" in docs, because at first, I just want iris as an alias to be opened whenever people want, not in every shell init

I'm using iris 0.4.21. cd correctly shows the available children dirs but after pressing tab it doesn't update the list.

also if you can
run iris -d to enable debug mode and using cd normally, then report that debug log to me

I've tested with only eval "$(iris init zsh)" on my .zshrc file and it still doesn't work (same behavior seen in my video). I've also tested with an empty .zshrc, .zhsenv and .zprofile manually invoking iris. I've also tested on the default macOS terminal.app. I am on v0.5.2 now.

Accepting a suggestion doesn't update the list (either by pressing tab or right arrow). Pressing right arrow after accepting the suggestion updates the list and keeps the path as is.

Running iris -d never creates the iris.log file at that location.

I think the issue might be related to how macOS or Ghostty handle things?

yeah I think there is something wrong with debug mode within development, I will fix it later

this is only for initial, not to fix the second bug with cd

right arrow and tab both works correctly like the video I sent
and I don't have any mac device to test on macOS
