Could we have a decoupled WYSIWYG Studio / Theme Builder for Vendure?

In addition to the robust backend and management capabilities we've built with Vendure, I've been wondering if there is room for a completely decoupled WYSIWYG frontend studio / theme builder that could sit on top of Vendure.

What I'm imagining is somewhat similar to the experience Shopify provides with its themes and visual customization — but as an independent, open-source project rather than something tightly coupled to Vendure.

Ideally, a merchant could:

• Start with a pre-built theme
• Visually customize the storefront
• Modify layouts, sections, typography, colors, etc.
• Add, remove, and rearrange components
• Preview changes visually
• Publish the storefront

The important part for me would be the separation of concerns:

• Vendure → Commerce engine / backend
• Studio → Visual storefront and theme builder
• Themes → Reusable and customizable storefronts
• Frontend → Independently deployable

The studio wouldn't need to become part of Vendure itself. It could consume Vendure's APIs and provide a visual layer on top of the commerce platform, potentially even being useful with other commerce backends in the future.

I realize this could be a huge project and perhaps far too much to chew on at once. 😄

But I've been looking around for something that combines a serious open-source commerce backend with a genuinely good visual storefront-building experience, and I haven't really found the combination I'm imagining.

And this is where my slightly crazy idea comes in:

Ultimately, I wonder if this could become a way to get the best of both worlds: the kind of simplicity Shopify offers merchants, combined with the flexibility, ownership, and API-first architecture of an open-source platform.

I'm curious whether others have thought about this, whether something similar is already being explored, or whether this makes sense as a separate project in the Vendure ecosystem.
