Vertical accordion menu

Is it possible to configure SmartMenus to display a vertical menu where clicking on a parent link takes you to that URL, but clicking on the sub-indicator next to a parent link toggles the sub-menu?

I've been able to make the sub-indicators appear and work as expected, but clicking on a parent link always opens the sub-menu, and then clicking it again takes you to that URL. I want the parent links to always take you to their URL, and only the sub-indicators to toggle the sub-menus...
