Session Switching

The session switching does work but it doesn't log me out, I'm just stuck at a black screen until I fully restart my device

figured this out, but new issue, on my desktop PC it just refuses to enter the gamescope session, screen goes black for a while then it exits

Your hardware may not support Gamescope.
Are you experiencing the same problem with distros like Bazzite or CachyOS Handheld?

No not at all, it's an all AMD system and I use gamescope when running full screen games, it's just the session won't start when trying to launch it from sddm.

If I open a tty, I can start the session from there, it just opens on the wrong monitor

Since the Gamescope is designed to work only in single-display mode, it may not work in multi-display setups. When I switch to any tty (e.g. CTRL+ALT+F4) and then return back (using CTRL+ALT+F1), the gaming mode appears on both monitors. But this is just a temporary solution (I'm not sure it will work), I'll update the script if I find a permanent solution.

possibly an Xsetup script with xrandr to disable all but the main display?
