Scheduling Assistant Enhancement Suggestions #166

Description

@J-Barta

I have a few suggestions for how the scheduling assistant could be improved. FYI, I'm an incoming freshman, so please let me know if some of these would be unhelpful from the perspective of a current student.

A) Like how UniTime lets you input desired break times, allow users to put break times they'd like to have in their schedule on the grid to make everything easier

B) Allow users to filter/sort the different sections for a class based on factors like days that they meet, ratemyprofessor score, time of day, etc.

C) Display if a class will conflict with any existing classes or breaks already in the schedule

D) Provide recommendations to complete the student's current programs. This would definitely require a lot of work to integrate degree requirements, allow students to input courses they currently have credit for, and provide recommendations. Is there some existing Purdue system that does something similar to this? Currently, I've only been able to find degree requirements in the course catalog that don't seem to be a very useful checklist.

E) Potentially list how far of a walk or bike ride buildings are from each other if there are two classes placed close to each other (please let me know if this would actually be useful or not)

F) The list of all the courses you've added doesn't list the GPA for that section, which would be helpful.
