install question for use in grafana scripted dash

Hi,

I'm new to npm and could use some help.
I'd like to use grafana-dash-gen in a grafana scripted dashboard, but don't know how to use npm to get all the grafana-dash-gen files into the "right" location, wherever that may be.

With /usr/app/grafana-4.3.2/ as my current directory, I ran this:
npm install grafana-dash-gen@2.5.0

...and it created folders downstream from this folder:
/usr/app/grafana-4.3.2/node_modules/grafana-dash-gen/

Is this the right location? The goal is to get this line:
var grafana = require('grafana-dash-gen');
to resolve/locate the grafana-dash-gen files, right?
