Replacing Adblock (Eyeo filtering engine) with enabled-by-default extensions support + UbO Lite

Hello,
I was wondering if it wouldn't be simpler for both security/privacy and ease of maintenance to simply pre-enable extensions and install Ublock Origin Lite instead of maintaining the in-house Adblock (well not exactly but you get the idea).

Okay, checked and uBO (MV2) works on Android.
Still, the point stands: wouldn't it be better for security to use an extension for adblocking instead of built-in adblocking based on the controverted AdBlockPlus (Eyeo engine)? By default of course.

I Agree, and the lack of controls such as disable auto update lists for allowing for manual update instead of updating in a long period time frame is suspicious and inefficient to say the least.
There is an extension which serves as a good alternative adblocker to ublock origin with a good privacy policy, but I prefer not to disclose it here. It has a high blocking score like 100/100 in sites such as adblock-tester and 93% in other famous github adblock tester sites. the only part that you will have to live with which I have tracked for suspicious activity such as long lived connections etc is the auto update feature which cannot be toggled. Unfortunately that is the scenario today.
