When I open the Cromite browser and load a page, for example Amazon, I see with NetGuard that every time Cromite.org is contacted in the background. Why does this happen? In the settings I’ve set “System DNS,” and I’ve also disabled Adblock Plus. I’ve turned off the homepage as well. Can anyone tell me how I can stop this? (Android)

should not. Could you send me the report from chrome://net-export ?
A few items are acquired from cromite.org, such as the default filters or the font package. If the latter has already been acquired, it should not be requested.

You’re right. I had blocked cromite.org from the start using NetGuard, which is why it kept recurring. I’ve now resolved it, once it contacted cromite.org, but didn’t happen again. So it’s taken care of. Thanks! And thank you for your work; I think the browser is great, better than most, and it deserves more visibility.

I had the same issue I guess it is related to the adblock plus, so since adblock plus is no longer functioning properly, I had to move to a different extension which solved my problem. Unfortunately ublock origin no longer supports manifest v3 except with its very limited and suspicious lite version which lacks controls. So I had to harvest for an extension that updates every once in a while and does not leave an established connection and gets 100/100 in the adblock-tester site.
