Obsidian console (CTRL+SHIFT+I) shows this error when attempting to use the plugin:
WebSocket connection to wss://speech.platform.bing.com/consumer/speech/synthesize/readaloud/edge/v1?... failed
I'm not familiar enough with how the Edge TTS stuff works, but I did find this repo that had an update in Dec 2025 about the Read Aloud API having a breaking change:
