Hello, that's an awesome project! is it compatible with the Bose Soundwave IV? or any plan to add this device on the list? Or can i just try with the version i have at home?

SixBack talks to the speaker over the Bose SoundTouch/BMX protocol (HTTP + WebSocket on port 8090), so it works with SoundTouch-family devices — the ones that used the SoundTouch app and the cloud presets Bose shut down.

I'm not aware of a Bose product named exactly "Soundwave IV" — could you confirm the exact model? If it's a Wave SoundTouch (e.g. Wave SoundTouch Music System IV) or any SoundTouch model, it should work, and trying it won't harm the device. If it's an older Wave system without network/SoundTouch, there's no LAN protocol for SixBack to speak to.

It's this model Bose Wave SoundTouch Music System IV with separate module at the bottom which allows AirPlay to works. The main device itself lacks of connectivity. It use the same app as the soundtouch 10 or 20. Everything works flawlessly between these devices.

Mentioning that it won't harm the device then I will try your solution as soon as I receive the dongle to plug in.

Yes — the Wave SoundTouch Music System IV is part of the SoundTouch family (same app, same BMX/SoundTouch protocol over the LAN), so SixBack should work with it. Trying it won't harm the device. Let me know how it goes once your dongle arrives.
