we have refactor the oauth logic as a plugins in 0.13
now as long as the OAUTH_GOOGLE_CLIENT_ID and OAUTH_GOOGLE_CLIENT_SECRET are configured, the relevant modules will be automatically enabled, therefore OAUTH_GOOGLE_ENABLED has been removed

Hi there, thanks for putting in the effort to provide a ready-to-go Docker compose file, getting up and running was a breeze.
Couple of questions before I consider onboarding:

1. What are the licensing plans for self-hosting?
2. Why is a self-hosted installation connecting to affine.pro both in the back- and frontend?
3. Why does it state that I am on a free plan with the limitations of a free plan? I have not selected any plan
4. Will the limit to invite 3 other users to a workspace remain for the self-hosted variant?
5. Will you integrate custom OICD providers?

1. Importing multiple markdown documents at once? (i have a big library of seperate markdown docs from Obsidian i want to mass import)
2. Make either a hotkey to add a Tag to a page or make it so tabbing after entering the title will jump to tags? I want to tag my documents without having to use the mouse
3. Save all the pages as markdown documents on the server. I'd love to be able to just go into the storage path and find a bunch of markdown documents for me to freely copy over and edit in any other software.

The affine file is used in the desktop app, but since selfhost currently cannot use the desktop app, you cannot export the selfhost workspace as an affine file. But we expect to support selfhost using desktop app in the summer, so you'll be able to do this.

1. I think blocksuite should provide a way to change the default imageProxy middleware in import-doc.
   Now AFFINE use the blocksuite func with https://affine-worker.toeverything.workers.dev to proxy image，the self-hosted version should be banned by CORS.
2. About imageProxy and linkPreview worker
   AFFINE use /api/worker prefix to fetch workers but in self-hosted version there is no implement. However reverse proxy is a way to get this work. I think AFFINE can open source these workers and users can deploy this on their Cloudflare account.

I deployed AFFiNE with your docker compose image, and it works fine with currently one main issue: I can't upload images. Pasting screenshots doesn't do anything, and importing images with /image results in an error stating either failed to upload image! crypto.subtle is undefined or just a Image loading failed. This happens on every browser I tested so far, and I haven't managed to get any pictures into my notes. I've tried both .png and .jpg/.jpeg

Other than that, awesome app you guys made! Most everything has worked pretty well so far

Click the button, and you can manage all tags, including deletion and modification.

If i use the ADMIN mail and ADMIN Password i just get a red border around the password field when trying to log in; This is after that cloudflare check.

I'm on arch and just updated everything; I use Thorium browser which is up to date.

default key means the secret key of cloudflare captcha, self hosted version now using this key by default -- the relevant modules will be disabled in the next major version of self-hosted
if there has a red border around the password field, it means that the password you entered does not comply with the default password security rules -- this may be a bug, I will check it tomorrow

I have just installed Affine on my server and it looked promising during my testing despite the confusing use of "Cloud" for the self hosted instance. I was making plans to integrate this in my day to day toolset that's until I find out the arbitrary limitations on space for self hosted. Searching this online I concluded that the team behind Affine is not to be trusted. It reminds me of big tech that tries to f##k you as soon as they have a chance. It is disappointing that they do not have a true self hosted version as my plan was to test this for my personal use and then deploy for work (self hosted with paid advance features). The search continues I guess.

I cannot install the Affine app on my work desktop but the webapp through a https reverse proxy works great. I have one question/request:

How can i turn off the standard functionality where everybody can start writing/drawing on a 'local demo workspace'? I don't want that since colleagues which I share some results can see the server URL.

Hi there, I installed the self-hosted version using coolify, and it’s been a reliable workhorse. I genuinely appreciate it. However, I recently noticed that the affine-graphql image, available at https://github.com/toeverything/AFFiNE/pkgs/container/affine-graphql, has been without updates for two months now. I mean, I've a manticore container running as per instructions and I have the Gemini API key set, but I'm not sure if the embedding/indexing is working as expected. I tried to query manticore and I see some data inside that's related to my notes, but I'm not sure.

3. Once embedding/indexing is working, shouldn't I be able to search notes using synonyms like "dog" and "puppy" since are related to each other? I tried that and I did not get back useful results, plus it seems the search went over only notes titles, and not the body.

1. server currently does not rely on timezone settings
2. embedding depends on pgvector, refer to this guide; manticore is used to index your article data; if not configured, it automatically falls back to client-side indexing (which will cause the client to use more CPU).
3. once the indexing is working properly, you can search the full text of articles, when falling back to client-side indexing, the program takes longer to index content, so it may not be able to search for all content right at the start.

Hey I am self-hosting affine being cloudflare access for external access when I am not at home.
This means that, unfortunately, the desktop app can't connect to the server as it does not know how to deal with the cloudflare access page.

1. Is there support for custom HTTP headers when connecting to a self-hosted affine server?
2. Should I bypass my CF access page for some API endpoints so that the desktop app can communicate with the server?
   2.1. What endpoint(s) do I need to expose and where can I find the API documentation?

I am enjoying AFFiNE so far, seems like a great tool!

If you’re self-hosting your instance, your data remains on your server.

I may not fully understand your question.

There is a question here on whether the data is stored in the cloud or locally in the browser, because at some moment affine says you have 100G of space even if you are using your own server.
