Docs without any folder?

Hi

If i create a note in the favorites and then remove from favorite, the doc disappears from everywhere

I can find it in the list of all docs but how could i identify the one without any folder ?

I think the document is not deleted, but it becomes hard to discover because it is no longer attached to a folder or favorite.

So the current workaround seems to be using “All docs”, but I agree that this does not solve the real problem: there should be a way to identify docs that are not in any folder/collection.

A useful feature here would be something like:

• an “Unfiled” / “No folder” smart view
• a filter in All docs for documents with no parent folder
• or a warning when removing the only visible placement of a doc, for example removing it from Favorites while it is not in any folder

Otherwise it is easy to create orphaned docs that still exist but feel like they disappeared.

So my answer would be: the doc should still be available in All docs, but I do not know of a good way to filter only docs without a folder today. An “Unfiled docs” view would be a very useful improvement.

You can just go to all docs and manually search for your note
You can also use the search function
"no tag", "no folder", "no collection" filters would be great though
