Enhancement : Show header file in pop up if possible

Would it be possible to show the header file a function is defined in as part of the information the pop up gives when you hover over something?

You mean as an additional field instead or additionally to the link?

What happens right now is that initially all we see is the information about symbol name, type etc.

Then we do another request to RTags, asking for the declaration/definition location for that symbol. If that comes back non empty, we change the symbol name into a hyperlink that leads to the location;

IIUC then you would like to see the location shown in this popup as well, instead of only being "hidden" behind that hyperlink?

Maybe make the hyperlink the header file name but still jump to that location? The use case is, sometimes I just want to see what header the function is in so I know what to include if I'm using it somewhere else. A quick way to find that out without having to jump to the location of the function, then back to whatever view I'm currently working in would be sweet. If it's a pain no big deal, just an idea I had.

Let me explain why I did not go that route initially; at the time we receive the answer to the first request to RTags for the symbol info, we don't know yet if RTags will be able to resolve the definition location. We find that out after the 2nd request. I wanted to make sure the popup does not drastically change between those requests (confusing people) but instead simply makes that name a hyperlink on the 2nd update. Less drastic changes in content was my motivation.

So now let's contemplate how we could achieve this while still showing the location explicitly....

Maybe initially have a line:

defined / declared:
[locating]

then when found

defined / declared:
/a/b/c/foo.hpp:35:2

and when not found

defined / declared:
[unknown]

Not ideal I feel - but will keep thinking - maybe you got a good idea?
