API Errors

Has worked great for months. Then, today...

Failed setup, will retry: XSense API Issue: Unable to retrieve station data: 403/{"message":"Forbidden","traceId":"18f31284-791f-9ab5-b68c-ce0e04bffd27"}

No errors in the Home-Assistant.log, even though I've enable debug logging. iOS app works fine for both primary account and the one with the home shared.

This error resolved after the hub unexpectedly dropped from Wifi (no network change...nothing moved...it just lost access) and I unplugged, reset, and reconnected the hub to Wifi. So I suspect a glitch in the hub that was repaired by a restart/reconfigure. I would swear that I had done that previously, but perhaps not. At any rate, 1) the error is resolved and you can close the issue, 2) I suggest hub reset and/or WiFi reconnection as part of troubleshooting, 3) I don't entirely understand how a hub glitch could cause an app API glitch that would affect the integration but not the app, but am willing to "press the I BELIEVE button" and move on with life. I'll leave the home shared in case it helps you.

I have the same problem and I can get it to work again.

I honestly don't think this is related to the integration. I think the hubs are cheap and glitchy. If something doesn't work through the X-Sense app, it won't work through an integration that mimics that app. My hub went through a period of intermittent failure and is now pretty much dead. Honestly, dead beats the annoying disconnect/reconnect messages every few hours. Replacing the hub with a new one is on my list of things to do.

I have the new hub. Am just waiting until I'm home alone and can set off all of the smoke alarms without annoying my wife.

Thank you for inspiring me, though. I just reset the old hub and reconnected it to Wifi AGAIN after it has been offline for 6 weeks. We'll see how long that lasts...
