Telegram distance changes

Seems that telegram changed their backend so that the distances are rounded to 500m, 1km, 2km, ... Due to this, the tracking of users is not anymore possible or at lest not anymore accurate. Basically the users are appearing all on one spot.

Can someone confirm my findings? Thanks!

I'm having the same issue. Maybe if it got patched, instead of just completely abandoning the project it would be a good idea to just turn this into a web interface for nearby? An option to become visible on nearby in some spoofed location would be awesome. I enjoy receiving weird DMs from bots on Telegram but at the same point I'd like Telegram to not know my exact location.

It shows fake users, it's obvious. I live in a small village, and it's impossible that there are so many people online.
