Hi, and thanks for stopping by! Pi Desktop is a portable, no-vendor-lock-in
AI agent desktop app built on top of
pi-ai and
pi-agent-core
— a native-feeling Electron + React app with streaming chat, session
history, and a real tool-calling agent loop under the hood.

This is a young, fast-moving project (see the note at the top of the
README), and
Discussions is the place for the stuff that doesn't quite fit a GitHub
issue:

• 💬 General — anything that doesn't fit elsewhere
• 🙋 Q&A — "how do I configure provider X", "why does Y behave like
  this" — ask away
• 💡 Ideas — feature thoughts and rough sketches before they're
  refined enough to become a
  feature request issue
• 🖼️ Show and tell — screenshots, setups, or workflows you've built
  with it
• 📣 Announcements — releases and project updates (this one included!)

A couple of pointers before you post:

• Found an actual bug or have a concrete feature request? Please
  use the issue templates
  instead — they collect the details (repro steps, dev-mode-vs-packaged-app,
  etc.) that make a fix or a real triage possible.
• Want to contribute code? Start with
  CONTRIBUTING.md
  for the dev setup and pre-PR checklist.
