Importer no longer creates animations or adjusts the image meta to be multisprite/unfiltered

I've tried several projects in 2020.3.17f1, this project seems to do nothing anymore except make the spritesheet image.

It states it's tested on 5.6 and latest release says

• fixed a major exception in Unity 2018.3 (Windows)

You may be out of luck unless you look at console or post more information here

Did you import the project though through the package manager? That works for me, haven't tested the release, but yeah, it is severely outdated. Will try to create a new release if I have time in a couple of weeks.
