View Width & Height wrap_content

Is it possible to set view height & width wrap_content? Right now on setting wrap_content it still taking full height & width.

Correct me if i am wrong, but I don't think it would work considering there is no explicit width set! Wrapping content would assume that the items within has a width to add to the total width of the container however, this being canvas drawing, you would need to set the width as a dp value?

I need to measure content width and have to pass that to canvas.
