iThorgrim
I'm iThorgrim - a developer specializing in Lua / LuaJIT, with 14+ years in the open-source and World of Warcraft emulation scene. I build gameplay systems, runtimes, and developer tooling for the community.
Most of what I make is free and open. Sponsoring me means I can keep it that way - more time on the projects, better tools to build them with, and new ideas shipped into the open.
A few of the things I'm focused on right now:
- WarcraftXL - a modding framework / extension layer for the World of Warcraft 3.3.5a client. The SKSE / RED4ext idea brought to WoW: a clean, typed way for mods
to talk to the engine, so the hard parts live in the core and your mods stay just features. - ion7 - an MIT-licensed LuaJIT runtime over llama.cpp for fast, local AI inference: a zero-malloc hot path and 200+ documented FFI functions. The foundation
for my work on private, on-device AI. - Grim-Batol - an organization gathering open-source World of Warcraft projects, tooling, and releases for the community.
You can browse everything else on my GitHub repositories page.
Open-source takes time and resources. Sponsoring me directly helps me:
- Dedicate more time to developing and maintaining my projects.
- Get the tools and hardware that keep their quality high.
- Keep delivering free, accessible solutions for everyone - no paywalls, no lock-in.
Every contribution - whatever the size - funds open-source work and the time to share what I learn with the community. Thank you for believing in it, and for helping push open source forward.
