Hi! 👋

I'm an electronics engineer building VibHearing, an open-source research project exploring sensory substitution through wearable haptic technology.

The project started with a personal motivation: my own cat is deaf. I wondered whether important environmental sounds could be translated into meaningful vibration patterns instead of audio. That question became the beginning of VibHearing.

Today, the project includes:

  • 🔊 Audio event detection
  • 📳 Wearable haptic feedback
  • 🧠 TinyML research
  • ⚡ Embedded firmware
  • 🛠 Hardware prototyping
  • 🐈 Real-world testing with cats

Everything is developed in the open on GitHub so anyone can learn from it, contribute to it, or build upon it.

Why sponsor?

Your sponsorship helps fund:

  • Sensors
  • Prototype PCBs
  • Batteries
  • 3D-printed parts
  • Hardware testing
  • Development hardware
  • Long-term open-source development

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps move the project forward.

Thank you for supporting open-source accessibility research. ❤️

@fbeser

Reaching my first 10 sponsors will help turn VibHearing into a sustainable open-source research project. Your support helps fund prototype hardware, sensors, batteries, 3D-printed parts, testing, and continued development. Every sponsorship helps advance wearable sensory substitution research for animals and, eventually, humans.
