I make useful things for Python developers and share the process in public.

I created Cookiecutter, co-authored Two Scoops of Django, co-founded PyLadies, and now work independently on open-source software, technical writing, and experiments.

My work includes:

• Air, an AI-first Python web framework built on FastAPI, Pydantic, and HTMX.
• Cookiecutter PyPackage, a modern template for starting Python packages with documentation, typing, tests, secure CI, and release automation.
• Cookiecutter, the project-template tool I created and continue to care about.
• Small libraries, Air packages, creative tools, and technical writing shared through my website.

Right now, my focus is Air development, Cookiecutter PyPackage improvements, and writing about Python tooling. I work in seasons: sometimes on releases and fixes, sometimes on research, writing, or a new tool. That independence is important to me.
