Lagging/Fps drop issue

Why Im lagging and fps drop, when rendering a Enemy soldier firing with my soldier??

1. I open warfare
2. i play core competencies mission
3. then start playing
4. when enemy attack my soldier and start firing each other, then fps drop lagging my phone starts
5. i restart my game it same happened

Thanks for the extra details — knowing it's an Infinix Hot 40i and that it happens while soldiers are firing was exactly what we needed. 🙏

We found the cause and fixed it, and the update is now live.

In short: a recent change made bullets move more smoothly, but on some phones it was doing too much work during a fight and dropping the frame rate. The game now automatically eases off that effect on phones that need it, so the frame rate should stay smooth during combat. Faster phones are not affected.

Could you please try again?

1. Fully close the game tab, then reopen https://play.warfareincorporated.com (so you get the update).
2. Play Core Competencies and let the soldiers fight.

I have just tested it myself – I closed the tab completely, re-opened the game here https://play.warfareincorporated.com, and then played Core Competencies.
The bad news is that lag and fps drop is still occurring on my phone while soldiers are shooting each other. Everything else is still the same as it was previously.

My device info, in case it may be needed:
Phone: Infinix Hot 40i
Browser: Chrome

I just want to mention — I remember playing the original Warfare Incorporated app before (Android APK), and it had no lag or FPS drop at all, even during heavy combat. The game ran very smoothly back then.
But now on the web browser version, the lag happens specifically when soldiers are firing at each other. So it seems like the performance issue might be related to how the game runs in the browser itself, not just the bullet animation change.

We recently made bullets animate at a higher frame rate so they're easier to follow. That's the suspect change. I am able to reproduce the problem myself now. I'll let you know when I have a fix.

I have exactly a same problm:

1.When My Screen Rendering In Combat/soldier Firing = It so Lag/fps drop

2.When my screen not rendering a Combat/soldier firing = Good/ No Lag

Im using:
1.Phone: Samsung Galaxy S26
2.Browser: Chrome

The new fix is up. I tested with a massive battle that was choppy before and now it is smooth. Please give it a try.

Hey @darrinm, tried the update — combat is way smoother now. Still a bit of lag when there's a lot of firing but it's totally playable, not a big deal at all. Really appreciate you fixing this so fast, thanks for keeping the game alive!

Also, would it be possible to set up a Discord server for the game? I keep running into other small bugs but GitHub won't let me attach videos, and it'd be a lot easier to just send a clip showing the issue on Discord instead of trying to describe it in text.

GitHub supports videos, but with some size limit. I just drag/drop them into the comment. Are yours too large? If so you could try reencoding it smaller. We don't have time to admin a Discord so it will have to wait until there is a more active community to take it on.

Now here is the bug, this is happen only in Multiplayer, when i click the 'begin game'
it force me back in title screen
Im using a phone:

also this, when im in-game in Multiplayer and swipe my Notification panel/quick settings panel it force me back to title screen too

also when I resize my screen or make my screen portrait, it force me back too in title screen when im in-game in multiplayer
