Sonora does not require an account and does not operate a service that stores users' music libraries, listening history, streaming credentials, or personal profiles.
Sonora sends an optional one-time installation report to our installation counter in order to estimate how many installations of the application have occurred.
The report only contains:
- application version
- operating system
Sonora does not assign an installation identifier, device identifier, streaming account identifier, listening history, music library information, or other application data in this request.
The installation report is enabled by default. Users may opt out at their discretion. Opting out does not affect Sonora's functionality.
As the case with any network request, hosting and network infrastructure (Cloudflare) may process standard connection metadata such as an IP address as necessary to deliver the request. Sonora does not include the IP address in the telemetry payload or use it as an application identifier.
When you use Spotify, YouTube Music, lyrics providers, or other online integrations, Sonora communicates with those third-party services as necessary to provide the requested functionality.
Data handled by those services is subject to their respective privacy policies and terms.
Authentication credentials used by Sonora are stored locally on the user's device.
Sonora does not transmit Spotify or YouTube Music credentials to Sonora-operated servers.
Credentials are sent only to the relevant third-party service when required for authentication or API requests.
Sonora stores application data locally on the user's device, including settings, playback state, provider credentials, local-library information, and other application state required for the application to function correctly.
Sonora may write diagnostic logs locally on the user's device.
These logs are not uploaded to Sonora-operated servers.
Users may choose to share logs manually when reporting bugs or requesting support.
Material changes to this privacy policy will be published in the Sonora source repository.
