Opening of covers when AC turn on

So my question is simple. Why do the covers of the room open when the AC turns on for cooling? After it is done cooling it snaps back to the position it had to prevent the room from heating up. So yes I use the room orientation feature as well.

My assumption is that with the covers open it matches beter with the prediction algorithm?

I hope this can be turned off because this is very wasteful when the sun is full on the window in question.
