Possible future direction: building-aware and cross-room climate optimization

Hi,

I am currently testing RoomMind in Home Assistant and I like the general approach of learning how a room reacts instead of relying only on fixed thresholds.

My particular situation is a little unusual: I have one air conditioner installed in the upstairs hallway, which indirectly cools several connected rooms. I also have separately controlled ventilation units, room sensors, window contacts, presence detection, energy monitoring, PV generation and various appliances available as Home Assistant entities.

This made me wonder whether RoomMind is intended to remain primarily an independent controller for each room, or whether a broader building-aware model could fit its future direction.

What I have in mind is not necessarily a full building simulation, but an optional model that could describe, for example:

• which rooms are connected through doors, stairways or open passages;
• room volume, roof slopes and basic insulation characteristics;
• window size, orientation, glazing and available shading;
• central or decentral ventilation and whether it can be controlled;
• heating and cooling systems that affect one or several rooms;
• internal heat or humidity sources such as people, televisions, computers, dryers, dishwashers or showers;
• optional energy constraints such as PV availability, battery state or electricity prices.

The system could still learn the actual effective influence from measured data rather than depending entirely on manually entered physical values. For example, it could learn how strongly the hallway air conditioner affects each connected room or how much a running appliance changes the temperature or humidity in its room.

I am not asking you to implement this complete concept. I mainly want to understand whether this direction would be compatible with RoomMind’s architecture and project scope.

Would you generally see this as:

1. a possible future extension of RoomMind,
2. something better implemented as a separate companion integration,
3. or clearly outside the intended scope of the project?

I am an end user rather than a software developer, so I may not be using the exact technical terminology. Before investigating a separate solution, I wanted to ask whether this overlaps with ideas or plans you already have.
