I asked this before too and to my knowledge, it has not been implemented yet. The post has been moved to discussions. For now, I use an automation, that simply turns the automatic cover control off, when a window is opened. There is a switch for each of the rooms you set up in roommind. With the same switch I turn it back on once the window hast closed for 15s. |

When using automatic cover control (night close or solar shading), is there a way to link it to the window sensors? Right now, if a window is open, the cover still tries to close and runs into the open window.
I currently have my own automations handling night close, morning open, and partial closing when the forecast is above 25C. All of these check the relevant window sensor first and skip that cover if the window is open.
From what I can tell, RoomMind's window/door sensors are only used to pause heating/cooling, not cover control. It would be great to have this added as an option in the cover control settings. For example, skip or hold a cover's automatic movement while its linked window is open.
