recently a couple of friends and me got pretty fed up with the original moon board app.
While doing some discovery I stumbled across your project and I'm curious if you're still interested in updating it.

I'm currently having a look at the new API and I'm trying to figure out how to list the newest problems.

Hey, not currently updating since I haven't had the time or motivation to figure out the new API and it seems like it has stronger auth with firebase. Happy to update it if you're able to figure out how it works though

as a little update:

Indeed the new API (https://grn-climbing.ems-x.com/_bs_api/v1/) does require a JWT token previously obtained by performing an AppCheck (see https://firebase.google.com/products/app-check).

As such "app check" boils down to the Play Integrity Check / Apple equivalent, which seems to include the devices environment state (e.g. rooted, emulator, etc.). As in an emulator I'm unable to pass such check, it seems quite hard to investigate any further without a valid token. Obtaining a valid token seems to be quite a challenge though.

Finding a way to investigate further seems to be out of my league. I'm a pretty novice, especially when it comes to this stuff and mobile devices. Sadly this means I had to give up at this point...

I dont have an android phone so not able to try it, but you might be able to get the data out of a backup depending on how its stored. I'm considering implementing OCR for the board apps as thats the most durable solution that cant be blocked

Yeah I think there's probably a way to make that work. The person who made Board Stalker seems to have found a way as well although not sure how, lmk if you do the OCR approach

@smchase I got it working! Wasnt that hard actually, I just need to now figure out how to screen record my phone swiping through all the climbs and run the OCR on that. Hit me up on Discord if you want it faster and are able to help, I dont own a moonboard so I'll slowly chip away at it

fire, no rush but I'm happy to help, I think your link is to the vercel deployment and not discord though. I have a few ideas for how to automate the scraping
