Is this library suitable for matching jobs and candidates?

Thank you for creating this library!

Before I dive into the implementation of a feature, I would like to ask a simple question: do you think this library would solve my problem of matching job descriptions with a generated candidate description (experience descriptions, skills, ect.)?

If so, what would be the best algorithm to use?

thefuzz measures character-level similarity, not semantic meaning. This means it may be limited in capturing conceptual similarities like "Java developer" and "experienced in Spring Boot."

Therefore:

• If keyword-based matching is required (e.g., a job description containing "Python" versus a candidate profile containing "Python"), thefuzz works very well.
• If semantic matching is required (e.g., "backend engineer" versus "server-side developer"), thefuzz alone may not be sufficient. In this case, it is more effective to use it in conjunction with embedding-based models.
