Edge lighting improvements

Hello!

Came across this really handy repo and app today and tried it out, it has a lot of things I can really use, one of them being the Edge lighting. I really like how customizable it already it and I think it's a really great feature (especially when you don't have a galaxy device) but it got me confused on how many notifications I actually have because for each notification it flashes 3 times. Therefore I think a slider to control the flashing amount would be really neat.
(I also have to note that it flashes whenever media starts/stops playing, idk if that's intended but this would anyway belong into a bug thread)

#28 and #29 created for the bug and the feature request, Will be expanding the edge lighting controls and will look into fixing the bug, I did not have any media apps selected for edge lighting so that might be why I missed it.

Switch to aodNotify by Jawomo. It's way better than the edge notification feature in this app. You can customize ANYTHING. Even individual contacts. I have all my VIPs with their own notification sound and their own color. And you can set it to never go away until you dismiss it.

AodNotify isn't entirely free though. In my experience (I used to use it briefly) it just felt a bit janky and unstable, sure you can select which apps show up in what color but that doesn't really make a huge difference. Essentials has implemented a huge chunk of the features of aodNotify and even sports some unique new ones.

Plus Essentialls is open source while aodNotify isn't (at least to my knowledge and research).

At the end I wouldn't say one is better than the other (tho i would prefer Essentials since supporting open source is always great), just use the one you like best :3
