DNS requests of various browsers not showing up

What happened:
I search for DNS requests made by Firefox, Mullvad Browser, and Librewolf and these do not show up in portmaster for some reason. Not even if i search them in the general network activity tab with "type:dns". When a DNS request fails or is blocked, it sometimes shows up under "System DNS Client" app, but never a successful one.
On Degoogled Chromium DNS requests appear normally under said app.
Same results on my laptop.

I did check that the browser is not using DoH and is set to "Use your default DNS resolver." I tried setting a custom DNS on Windows and leaving it blank with the same results. "Block Secure DNS Bypassing" setting is enabled.

What did you expect to happen?:

To be able to see and control the DNS requests made by my browsers and other apps that behave the same way.

How did you reproduce it?:

Install Portmaster, clear DNS cache on browser and Portmaster (I did flushdns too just in case), search some random domain, and finally see if the DNS request is somewhere on Portmaster with "type:dns"
