Simple chatbot lacks log stream metric

According to the Simple Chatbot documentation in the "Getting Started" section here, there is supposed to be Log stream metrics for the "Default Log Stream" that comes with the project sample. Looking at the Traces in the table view, I don't see any metrics. Even after adding these metrics back to the table view by clicking on the "Configure Metrics" button in the top-right, the metrics are null:

@thealchen yes you need to turn on those metrics before running the application. Did turn on those metrics before or after running the app?

I've raised a ticket to make sure that's clear in the documentation.
