did you built it only for recent OS versions?
When launching on my 10.8.5 the program runs for 2s (from what I see in the terminal with a 'top') then crashes.
I also tried to get the xcode project, but specifying a "Latest OS" SDK or 10.6 SDK (latest available in my xcode) is not enough.
