Implement comm.split

Probably. I don't use it myself, so I'm not familiar with it, and the docs I just Googled seem pretty sparse. If you could come up with a unit test that validates the behavior you expect for this command, I suspect it wouldn't be too hard to implement. Or if you feel up to implementing it yourself and submitting a pull request, that would be welcome too.
